This week, I’m at Rally. I thought it would be a great thing to do after my 25th birthday. Three days to hold a giant Rhiannonmoot and evaluate a quarter century of being alive! (Though mostly I’ve been napping. Which I’m being told is very important.).
And my mysterious, secret project has managed to take me by complete surprise. I am frequently surprised, but complete surprise is something else entirely. Rare. And (at least in this case) amazing.
After Shiva Nata, my project told me the following astonishing things:
Teeny tiny-ness is important!
There should be a parade! A teeny tiny parade on a teeny tiny road with teeny tiny soldiers in teeny tiny tin hats. They’ll cheer teeny tiny cheers.
The teeny tiny elephant is a clue!
And he says: “I am exactly the right size. I fit. There is nothing about me that is too small. Nothing about my environment that is too big. This is the size I should be.”
There is a language, a secret whispered language…
It sounds like something between leaves rustling and a soft hiss of the wind. Teeny tiny things speak it. Not just teeny tiny soldiers and elephants, but also teeny tiny invisible beings that live in my blood, and also in the centimeter of space just around a tree’s bark.
I don’t need to get any smaller.
I am my size, which is bigger than the teeny tiny things. By a lot. They are not just small, they are teeny tiny and that is the right size. And the relationship between their size and my size is the right relationship.
I need to listen
I need to get down on the ground, with my ear on the floor, or right up against the tree, or in the kind of quietness my blood speaks. Because someday I will translate the teeny tiny secret language, but first I need to listen.
And then I took a bunch of naps…
And also discovered a thing about spaciousness, and about socializing. And then I dressed up as an overly dramatic version of myself and held a photoshoot.
Also I worked on some surprises for you guys. (Rainbows were involved.) It’s been the best!
What do you know about teeny tiny things? What secret whispered languages do you speak?
Love and rawther dramatic kisses!
Rhiannon

A dramatic photo shoot! Teeny tiny things!
Discovering this nearly a month (eep!) after hearing about the teeny tiny parade in person , and smiling.
